Job Description
Creating a safe, nurturing environment to provide basic care (feeding, hygiene, diapering), implement age-appropriate lessons (through play, stories, games), manage behavior, foster social skills, and maintain open communication with parents about children's progress, all while adhering to health and safety standards. Key duties include planning activities, supervising play, maintaining a clean space, and monitoring children's physical, emotional, and social development to prepare them for kindergarten and beyond.
Core Responsibilities
- Childcare & Safety: Supervise children, ensure their safety, provide meals/snacks, assist with toileting/diapering, and maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free environment.
- Education & Development: Develop and implement lesson plans, use various methods (stories, games, art) to teach basic concepts, and stimulate cognitive, social, and emotional growth.
- Classroom Management: Establish routines, manage daily schedules (play, rest, meals), enforce rules, and encourage positive behavior and social skills like sharing and conflict resolution.
- Parent Communication: Provide regular updates to parents on their child's progress, behavior, and any developmental concerns.
- Documentation: Keep records of children's progress, milestones, and daily routines.
