Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Toddler Teacher to join our early childhood education team. The ideal candidate will create a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children, fostering their social, emotional, and cognitive development. This role requires a commitment to educating and caring for children aged 18months-32 months, ensuring that each child feels valued and supported in their learning journey. Standard hours of operation are 8am-4:30pm.
Duties
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote learning through play and exploration.
- Provide a safe, welcoming, and engaging classroom environment that encourages creativity and curiosity.
- Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues to create a supportive community.
- Monitor and assess children's progress, adapting teaching methods to meet individual needs.
- Maintain classroom organization and cleanliness while ensuring all materials are safe and accessible.
- Collaborate with other educators to enhance the overall educational experience for students.
- Implement first aid procedures when necessary, ensuring the health and safety of all children in care.
- Assist children with daily activities such as feeding, diapering, and personal hygiene as needed.
Qualifications
- A degree or certification in Early Childhood Education or a related field is preferred.
- Experience working with young children in a classroom or childcare setting is essential.
- Knowledge of toddler care practices and infant care techniques is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and staff members.
- Ability to work with students with disabilities and adapt teaching methods accordingly.
- First aid certification is a plus; willingness to obtain certification if not currently held.
- A nurturing attitude combined with patience and enthusiasm for educating young minds.
