Responsibilities
- Working along side the Lead Teacher and Teacher to develop and implement age-appropriate curricula that incorporate literacy education, math, physical education, and Montessori methods to support holistic child development.
- Create a nurturing classroom environment that encourages exploration, creativity, and social interaction among preschoolers.
- Manage daily classroom routines, including lesson planning, behavior management, and classroom organization to ensure a safe and productive setting.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about children’s progress, milestones, and any concerns related to child welfare or development.
- Conduct assessments with your co teachers using standardized testing tools to monitor each child's growth in areas such as literacy, numeracy, and social-emotional skills.
- Apply knowledge of early intervention strategies and special education principles to support children with diverse learning needs.
- Maintain compliance with mandated reporting laws and ensure adherence to health and safety standards including first aid and CPR certification.
Qualifications
- Proven experience working with children in a preschool or daycare setting, demonstrating strong classroom management skills.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles, curriculum development, and early childhood education best practices.
- Experience with special education techniques, early intervention programs, and behavior management strategies.
- Excellent communication skills for effective parent engagement and team collaboration.
- Ability to plan engaging lessons that incorporate literacy education, math concepts, physical activities, and Montessori methods when applicable.
- Certification in first aid and CPR is required 6 months after hire; ongoing professional development in early childhood education is preferred.
- Familiarity with mandated reporting laws and child welfare policies to ensure a safe learning environment.

Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour
