Overview
Busker Communications Inc is looking for an Estimator to join our team. The Estimator is responsible for preparing accurate and timely designs to support the development of project quotes. The Estimator position plays a pivotal role in shaping successful cabling projects. In this energetic position, you will be responsible for accurately assessing project costs, preparing detailed estimates, and collaborating closely with project managers, clients, and subcontractors. Your expertise will help ensure projects are financially viable while maintaining the highest standards of quality and efficiency.
Specific Essential Functions:
- Collaborate with management and sales team members to meet deadlines for bids and quotes
- Prepare design layouts and quotation documentation for all assigned opportunities
- Address questions or concerns in a timely manner prior to final review and submission
- Participate in internal and client meetings as required
- Obtain competitive vendor quotes to secure the best pricing for materials and subcontractor costs
- Ensure that designs and quotations are accurate, complete, and meet all functional requirements, including materials, labor, subcontractor costs, and other project expenses
- Administer and maintain all design and bid documentation properly
- Complete all departmental reports and project submittals accurately and on time
- Strictly adhere to company policies and procedures
- Participate in field site surveys and customer meetings on an as-needed basis (rare)

Preferred Skills
- Knowledge in Access Control, CCTV, Audio Visual
- Proficient knowledge of BICSI, NEC and EIA / TIA industry standards
- Familiarity with Solution Q360, Bluebeam
Educational/Experience Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED.
