What We’re Looking For:

Join our dynamic team as a Low Voltage Technician and become a vital part of delivering cutting-edge telecommunications and networking solutions. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting low-voltage systems that power modern communication infrastructures. Your expertise will ensure seamless operation of systems such as surveillance systems, door access control, alarm systems, fiber optic networks, VoIP, Ethernet, and structured cabling, contributing to the safety, security, and connectivity of diverse facilities. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with advanced equipment and develop your skills in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment.

Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, and maintain low-voltage systems including IP surveillance, fiber optic cabling, VoIP telephony, Ethernet networks, and structured cabling infrastructure.
  • Troubleshoot and repair telecommunications equipment using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and testing devices for fiber splicing, network wiring, and electrical systems.
  • Read and interpret schematics, technical diagrams, and network layouts to ensure accurate system installation and troubleshooting.
  • Perform fiber optic splicing and termination to establish reliable high-speed data connections across various systems.
  • Conduct testing of telecommunication systems using specialized testing equipment like LAN testers, switches, network devices to verify operational integrity.
  • Install and troubleshoot low-voltage electrical wiring in accordance with NEC (National Electrical Code) standards for safe and compliant system performance.
  • Collaborate with clients to provide excellent customer service by explaining system functions, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring satisfaction during service visits.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Low Voltage Technician or Service Technician working with telecommunications or networking systems.
  • Strong knowledge of computer networking including LAN/WAN configurations, Ethernet cabling (Cat5/Cat6), switches/routers, and telephony systems.
  • Hands-on experience with fiber optic systems installation, splicing, testing, and troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with telecommunication testing equipment such as ohmmeters, multimeters, cable testers, RF analyzers, and diagnostic tools.
  • Ability to read schematics and technical diagrams related to structured cabling installations and electrical wiring projects.
  • Skilled in the use of hand tools and power tools necessary for cable termination, equipment installation, and electrical work.
  • Knowledge of AC/DC electrical systems along with safety standards outlined by NEC regulations.
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; willingness to travel for on-site service calls as needed.

Pay: $26.00 - $31.31 per hour
