Overview
Location: Denver, CO (supporting Denver and Dallas offices)Type: Permanent Full-Time, Salary – Hybrid (mostly in office / up to one day work from home)
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and dependable. In this role, you’ll support both the Finance Manager and the broader team by ensuring smooth accounting operations and efficient office administration. This is a hands-on position that combines transactional accounting responsibilities with administrative tasks such as managing phones, ordering supplies, and maintaining a professional office environment.
Business Network Consulting (BNC) has been supporting the IT infrastructure of businesses in and around the Denver area since 1997. We are seeking an Accounting & Administrative Specialist with strong accounts receivable (AR) and accounts payable (AP) experience, as well as general office management skills.

Responsibilities
- Accounts Receivable
- Prepare and send semi-monthly and monthly invoices electronically
- Record customer payments and reconcile daily deposits through online banking
- Monitor AR aging and follow up on past-due accounts
- Communicate professionally with clients to resolve billing issues
- Accounts Payable
- Process vendor bills and code to the appropriate general ledger accounts
- Maintain vendor records, including W-9 documentation and contact information
- Accounting Support
- Maintain accurate and organized digital documentation of all transactions
- Assist the Finance Manager with data entry, reconciliations, and accounting routines as directed
- Support preparation of internal schedules and reports for audits or reviews
- Administrative & Office Support
- Answer and direct incoming phone calls in a professional manner
- Greet visitors and provide general assistance as needed
- Order, stock, and organize office and kitchen supplies
- Coordinate and organize bi-weekly team lunches and office gatherings
Qualifications
- Required
- Associate degree or equivalent work experience (required minimum)
- 2–3 years of accounting experience focused on AR and AP
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Desktop (not QB Online) and Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Excellent communication and customer service skills (phone, email, in-person)
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment
- Preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business (preferred)

Compensation & Benefits
