Business Attorney - Transactional (2 yrs experience)

Business Law Group, in downtown Colorado Springs, is seeking an experienced transactional business attorney. The ideal candidate will have 2 years of experience and be able to manage their own caseload, with our mentoring, collaboration, and assistance. Knowledge of tax law as it relates to LLCs, S corporation, business sales and acquisitions, and other general business transactions would be helpful.

Duties:

• Forming new LLCs and S corporations
• Drafting complex LLC Operating Agreements and Shareholder Agreements
• Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts
• Negotiating, drafting, and completing due diligence for asset purchase agreements
• Conducting legal research using resources such as Lexis-Nexis
• Drafting other business legal documents
• Provide legal advice and guidance to clients
• Tracking and entering your billable time
• Handling administrative tasks related to cases
• Billable hour expectation is 1,500 hours per year

Experience and Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
• Admission to the Colorado bar
• Excellent attention to detail and an ability to drive projects to completion
• Proven experience in legal drafting, negotiation, and business transactional work
• Strong research and writing skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Pay: $140,000.00 - $170,000.00 per year
