Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Scheduler to support maintenance planning and equipment reliability initiatives within a manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for planning, scheduling, and coordinating preventive and corrective maintenance activities to minimize downtime and improve operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will have strong CMMS experience, an understanding of TPM concepts, and the ability to collaborate effectively with maintenance, operations, engineering, and lean teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage weekly and monthly maintenance schedules based on production priorities, maintenance requirements, and resource availability.
- Coordinate maintenance activities with technicians, operations, engineering, and production teams to ensure timely completion of work orders.
- Review, prioritize, and track preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance tasks.
- Maintain and update work orders, asset information, and maintenance records within the CMMS system.
- Support CMMS optimization initiatives, including development of Statements of Work (SOWs) and coordination with external vendors or support teams.
- Assist in the development and implementation of TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) programs and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Adjust maintenance schedules to accommodate emergency repairs, production changes, and equipment breakdowns.
- Analyze maintenance KPIs including downtime, backlog, schedule compliance, and equipment reliability.
- Support preventive maintenance and reliability-centered maintenance strategies to improve equipment performance.
- Ensure maintenance activities comply with safety, quality, and operational standards.
- Prepare maintenance reports and communicate maintenance schedules and impacts to cross-functional teams.
Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Maintenance Management, Industrial Technology, or related field preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in maintenance planning or scheduling within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Strong working knowledge of CMMS platforms such as SAP PM, Maximo, or similar systems.
- Understanding of TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) principles and preventive maintenance programs.
- Basic understanding of mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation systems preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, Outlook, and Word.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
