Business Development Resources (BDR) is the premier provider of business training and coaching services to HVAC contractors and home service businesses throughout North America. We are currently seeking an experienced Order to Cash Lead to join our Accounting team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting or accounts receivable professional who enjoys both hands-on transactional work and serving as a lead resource for internal teams. Work Hours: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-4:00 PM, with overtime as necessary
Location: Hybrid, in-office, or remote consideration available. Primary office located in SeaTac, WA.
Pay Rate: $30.00-$38.00 per hour depending on experience, qualifications, and industry background

Primary Job Function:
The Order to Cash (O2C) Lead is responsible for executing and supporting the full revenue cycle, including work order review, billing, collections, cash application, and customer account support. This is a working lead position that combines hands-on transactional responsibilities with team leadership, process improvement, and cross-functional collaboration. The O2C Lead partners closely with Operations, Customer Service, Dispatch, and Finance to ensure accurate and timely billing, improve cash flow, and support scalable business growth.
Daily Duties:
• Perform daily Order to Cash activities, including invoice generation, collections outreach, and cash application
• Review work orders for accuracy and billing readiness
• Support timely billing across multiple service offerings, including recurring revenue programs, training events, and customer registrations
• Serve as a resource for team members regarding billing questions, customer accounts, and system processes
• Resolve incomplete or missing information that impacts invoicing and collections
• Monitor accounts receivable aging and follow up on past-due accounts
• Assist customers with billing inquiries and dispute resolution while maintaining a positive customer experience
• Identify recurring process issues and recommend improvements that increase efficiency and accuracy
• Reconcile onsite events, reimbursable expenses, and customer invoicing
• Support reporting related to unbilled work orders, invoice turnaround times, and aging trends
• Maintain compliance with company policies, procedures, and internal controls
• Collaborate with Finance leadership on special projects and continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications:
• 5 years of experience in accounts receivable, billing, accounts payable, or Order to Cash functions
• HVAC, home services, or service-based industry experience strongly preferred
• Experience serving as a senior team member or workflow lead
• Strong understanding of service-based billing tied to completed work orders
• Experience working with ERP systems, Business Central, QuickBooks Online, Dynamics, or similar platforms
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office skills
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally with office and field personnel
• High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
