Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Operations Manager to lead our team and oversee daily business functions across our retail locations. This vital role involves managing store operations, optimizing sales performance, and ensuring exceptional customer service. As an Operations Manager, you will drive operational excellence, foster a positive team environment, and implement strategic initiatives to meet business goals. Your leadership will be instrumental in creating a seamless shopping experience while maintaining efficient inventory control, payroll management, and store administration.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise daily store operations, including sales activities, inventory management, and customer service excellence
  • Recruit, interview, and onboard new team members, providing comprehensive employee orientation and ongoing training & development
  • Manage payroll processing, bookkeeping, cash handling, and POS (Point of Sale) systems to ensure accuracy and compliance
  • Oversee purchasing decisions, pricing strategies, merchandising, stocking, and inventory control to maximize profitability
  • Develop and implement sales management strategies to achieve revenue targets and improve retail math efficiency
  • Supervise shift management, cashiering duties, and customer service standards to ensure a positive shopping experience
  • Coordinate marketing efforts and promotional activities to boost store visibility and sales performance
  • Maintain organizational skills for scheduling staff shifts effectively while managing budgets and store resources
  • Foster a team-oriented environment through leadership in supervising staff, conducting performance reviews, and promoting professional growth

Requirements

  • Proven management experience in retail or grocery store environments with supervising responsibilities
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to motivate teams and engage customers effectively
  • Demonstrated proficiency in negotiation, employee orientation, interviewing techniques, and recruiting processes
  • Multilingual or bilingual abilities are highly desirable for serving diverse customer bases
  • Experience with payroll processing, bookkeeping, cash handling, POS systems, and inventory management software
  • Knowledge of retail math—including pricing strategies, sales management, budgeting—and retail sales techniques
  • Skilled in training & development initiatives to enhance team performance and operational efficiency
  • Organizational skills necessary for shift scheduling, stock replenishment, merchandising, and inventory control
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities with excellent time management skills in a fast-paced environment
  • Previous assistant manager or supervisory experience in retail or grocery settings is preferred
