Location:Ohio – Springside: 320 Springside Dr, Akron, OH 44333ORCleveland: 1201 E 55th St, Cleveland, OH 44103Position OverviewThe Business Analyst III is a senior-level role responsible for leading complex business analysis efforts in support of system enhancements, enterprise projects, and operational improvements. This position works closely with business sponsors, stakeholders, and technical teams to translate business needs into clear, actionable requirements and ensure delivered solutions align with strategic objectives and produce measurable business value.This role requires advanced analytical capability, strong stakeholder management skills, and the ability to support initiatives from concept through implementation and post-deployment validation.Key ResponsibilitiesBusiness Analysis & Requirements LeadershipLead the elicitation, analysis, documentation, and validation of business requirements for complex system enhancements and project initiatives.Facilitate requirements-gathering workshops, working sessions, and ad hoc meetings with business stakeholders.Apply advanced problem-solving, analytical, and critical-thinking skills to support end-to-end requirements definition and solution alignment.Document business objectives, benefits, assumptions, risks, and success metrics, and validate alignment with Business Sponsors.Take ownership of assigned initiatives and deliverables while managing multiple priorities and competing demands.Stakeholder Engagement & CommunicationEstablish and maintain strong working relationships with business stakeholders, technology partners, and supporting process teams.Serve as a key liaison between business stakeholders and development teams, clarifying requirements, resolving issues, and ensuring consistent communication.Develop and distribute clear communications to business stakeholders regarding system changes, enhancements, risks, and impacts.Support consensus-building, facilitation, and decision-making across cross-functional teams.Solution Design & Delivery SupportParticipate in solution design sessions to ensure proposed solutions meet documented business requirements and align with enterprise standards.Document solution decisions, approvals, and traceability throughout the project lifecycle.Partner with enterprise functional and technical teams to prepare for User Acceptance Testing (UAT).Develop detailed test scripts, test cases, and test data to validate system functionality and business scenarios.Conduct regression testing as required for system and enterprise-level changes.Implementation & Post-Implementation ValidationValidate solution outcomes following deployment into production.Confirm with Business Sponsors that intended business benefits have been realized.Support system enhancement and implementation projects as needed, including change validation and post-implementation review.Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in processes, systems, and analytical practices.Required QualificationsStrong knowledge of technology systems, applications, and enterprise business solutions.Solid understanding of technology implementation methodologies and the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC).Experience supporting Distribution Operations, Customer Care, or comparable operational business environments.Advanced analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.Proven ability to make sound decisions, manage complex initiatives, and deliver results.Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, including facilitation, negotiation, and stakeholder alignment.Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across cross-functional teams.Preferred QualificationsCertified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or other formally recognized education or certification in business analysis.Experience supporting enterprise-scale systems, operational platforms, or customer-facing applications.Prior involvement in system upgrades, integrations, or large-scale transformation initiatives.Experience mentoring or guiding junior business analysts.Work EnvironmentOnsite or hybrid work environment based in Akron (Springside) or Cleveland, Ohio.Collaborative, enterprise setting with close interaction across business, IT, and leadership teams.Company DescriptionFounded in 1986, Business Control System, LP, is an award-winning IT and engineering staffing firm specializing in the utility, construction and manufacturing industries.
