Job Summary
We are looking for a UI/UX Designer to join our team in New Orleans. The ideal candidate is both
data-savvy and design-minded, thriving at the intersection of storytelling, technology, and social impact. This role involves designing community-facing websites, dashboards, and visualizations that make complex data accessible and actionable.
Key Responsibilities
- Design user-friendly websites, dashboards, and tools within existing template frameworks; create engaging interfaces that simplify complex data.
- Conduct user research to identify needs and barriers; apply accessibility standards and best practices to ensure usability across diverse communities.
- Translate complex datasets into compelling visualizations and narratives that strengthen campaigns and communicate impact.
- Produce graphics, layouts, and digital assets aligned with Together Louisiana’s brand; support campaign communications with polished visual materials.
- Partner with organizing, data, and video teams to transform ideas into intuitive digital experiences; act as a bridge between data and design to structure and present information effectively.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in design, human-computer interaction, computer science, or equivalent experience.
- Experience: Demonstrated portfolio of UX/UI design work (websites, dashboards, or applications).
- Skills:
- Proficiency in Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, or comparable tools; strong communication andcollaboration skills with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to translate complex concepts into accessible designs; familiarity with accessibility standards and inclusive design principles.
- Experience designing for nonprofits, civic tech, or social impact projects.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, D3.js) or no-code/low-code platforms.

Salary : $125,000 - $132,000
