Job Summary

We are looking for a Cloud Network Senior Engineer to join our Infrastructure team in a remote capacity. The ideal candidate will be an experienced network professional with strong hands-on expertise in network security platforms, particularly Palo Alto firewalls, and a proven track record in enterprise environments. This role will involve leading the design, delivery, automation, and support of network infrastructure services with a primary focus on networking security solutions for both on-premises and cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Network Security Leadership: Lead and influence the design, delivery, automation, and support of network security solutions, with primary responsibility for Palo Alto firewall platforms and Panorama management in large-scale environments.
• Infrastructure Engineering: Independently build, maintain, and document infrastructure components; design solutions for overall health, performance, and availability across multiple environments and platforms.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with diverse organizational teams to ensure effective collaboration and communication on planning and delivery of technology and line-of-business solutions.
• Technical Mentorship: Assign work, mentor, and train junior engineers; provide technical reviews and advocate for technology improvements that reduce expenses and improve efficiency.
• Solution Design & Documentation: Create technical documentation, specifications, and project artifacts; formulate and design technical solutions to meet business needs while ensuring solution viability across functions.
  
  

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Computer Science, Information Systems Management, or similar field
• Experience: 3-5 years overall IT experience in a large enterprise environment
• Skills:
• Required: 3-5 years hands-on experience supporting and maintaining Palo Alto Network Security platforms, including setup, maintenance, upgrades, and replacement
• Required: Experience with Palo Alto firewall rules in large, shared environments with ability to craft and understand rule deployments
• Preferred: 3-5 years hands-on experience with F5 load balancer technologies
• Preferred: 3-5 years hands-on experience with Cisco network technologies (routers and switches)
• Experience with firewall technologies in Cloud Environments (GCP, Azure, AWS, etc.)
• Knowledge of LAN/WAN designs and support processes for large network deployments
• Knowledge of IPSec/VPN technology supporting large enterprises
• Experience with TCPDump, Wireshark, and network traffic analysis
• Solid understanding of OSI and TCP/IP network models
• Experience in custom SSL, ciphers, and security traffic performance optimization
• In-depth knowledge of networking and systems administration with strong troubleshooting abilities
• Programming experience with Python, Ansible, and Terraform for automation services
• Other: Strong communication skills and ability to prioritize work efforts effectively
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced certifications in Palo Alto Networks, Cisco, or F5 technologies
• Experience with routing & switching platforms and shared network IP services platforms
• Background in proposing infrastructure architectural guidelines and IT standards
