The Lead Econometrician will serve as the organization’s subject-matter expert on econometric modeling and forecasting, developing advanced models to assess market demand, forecast revenue, and quantify the drivers of business performance. This role will build and maintain a Marketing Mix Model (MMM), lead driver impact modeling to differentiate controllable vs. uncontrollable factors and deliver data-driven insights that shape strategic and operational decisions across business units.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, refine, and maintain econometric models to forecast market demand and revenue across business units and markets.
- Design and implement a Marketing Mix Model to measure the ROI and effectiveness of marketing investments.
- Build driver impact models that isolate the effects of internal and external factors on business outcomes.
- Gather, cleanse, and integrate large datasets from multiple sources for modeling and analysis.
- Apply advanced econometric and statistical techniques (time series, regression, simulation, causal inference) to identify key market dynamics.
- Partner with Marketing, Finance, and Product teams to translate modeling insights into actionable business strategies.
- Create simulations to test pricing strategies, market conditions, and promotional scenarios.
- Present forecasts, findings, and recommendations to senior leadership in clear, business-oriented terms.
- Establish and maintain modeling standards and best practices to ensure consistency and quality across the Decision Intelligence group.
- Direct third-party consultants and contractors on specific modeling projects as needed.
- Master’s or Ph.D. in Economics, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, or a related quantitative discipline.
- 5 years of hands-on experience in econometric modeling and applied analytics.
- Proven expertise in demand forecasting, revenue modeling, and marketing mix modeling.
- Strong proficiency in Python or R for statistical programming.
- Experience with visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
- Expert-level understanding of time series analysis, regression, hypothesis testing, simulation, and causal inference.
- Proficiency in SQL and working with large, complex datasets.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present technical findings to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience building and deploying analytics solutions in cloud environments (Azure, Databricks).
- Experience integrating econometric models with machine learning techniques.
- Background in IoT, connected devices, or software-defined customer experiences.
- Exposure to private equity–backed or high-growth environments.

Salary : $160,000 - $175,000
