Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure and automation solutions.
- Develop and optimize CI/CD pipelines using modern GitOps practices and tools.
- Collaborate with engineering and product teams to improve deployment processes and developer experience.
- Manage and support Kubernetes-based applications in production environments.
- Build automation tools and scripts to improve system performance, reliability, and efficiency.
- Analyze and improve system architecture to enhance scalability, security, and fault tolerance.
- Partner with platform, SRE, and infrastructure teams to define standards and performance metrics.
- Troubleshoot production issues and support system reliability through monitoring and automation.
- Document system architecture, processes, and operational procedures.
- Participate in on-call rotations supporting production systems.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field required.
- 5 years of experience in DevOps, platform engineering, or similar roles supporting software engineering teams.
- Experience working in cloud-based environments (Azure and/or GCP preferred).
- Hands-on experience managing production systems in Kubernetes environments.
- Strong experience with cloud infrastructure and Kubernetes orchestration.
- Experience with CI/CD and GitOps tools (GitLab, Argo CD, Flux, Helm, etc.).
- Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code / Configuration as Code practices.
- Strong command-line and scripting skills (Bash, CLI tools, Git, etc.).
- Programming experience in Python, Node.js, or Java.
- Experience working with distributed systems and data platforms (e.g., Kafka, Redis, MongoDB, Elasticsearch).
- Familiarity with Linux environments and system-level troubleshooting.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills in cross-functional environments.
- Experience with observability tools (logging, monitoring, alerting).
- Experience building container images and working within CNCF ecosystem tools.
- Exposure to eCommerce or high-traffic digital platforms.
- Experience troubleshooting client-side or server-side web applications.
