Position Title: NM - Clinical Education Assistant
Description:
Working under the guidance of the Regional Academic Center (RAC) Liaison, the Clinical Education Assistant Liaison provides administrative and logistical support to ensure medical students have access to clinical training opportunities across our regional academic centers. This position assists with coordinating student placements, maintaining communication with healthcare providers, and preparing documentation to support clinical rotations. The role helps facilitate partnerships and ensure compliance with established procedures, contributing to the smooth operation of clinical education programs.
- This position is Nonexempt.
- This position reports to the Regional Academic Center Liaison.
- This position is funded through June 30, 2026; continued employment is contingent upon funding approval.
- The starting salary for this position is $19.23/hour depending on experience.

Examples of Duties:
- Provide administrative support to the RAC Liaison by assisting with outreach to clinical preceptors and maintaining contact lists for the regional academic centers.
- Prepare and update documentation for affiliation agreements with healthcare providers under the direction of the RAC Liaison.
- Coordinate scheduling and logistics for student clinical rotations, including confirming placement details and updating tracking systems.
- Assist with student onboarding for community-based clinics by preparing materials and ensuring compliance with established procedures.
- Compile and maintain reports related to health equity initiatives and student placement activities as directed by the RAC Liaison.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, education, public health, or related field.

- Ability to travel throughout New Mexico as needed.
Preferences:
- Experience in clinical education, healthcare workforce development, or community health partnerships.
- Strong understanding of rural healthcare challenges and medical education systems.
- Knowledge of physician recruitment and retention strategies.
- Familiarity with clinical site accreditation requirements.
