School Psychologist, 1.0 FTE Probationary

School Psychologist - Middle School

The Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake Central School District is seeking a dedicated, student-centered School Psychologist to join the team at the middle school. We are looking for a collaborative professional who is passionate about supporting students' academic, social, emotional, and behavioral success while working closely with educators, families, and related service providers.

Position Responsibilities

The successful candidate will:

• Conduct comprehensive Psychoeducational evaluations and interpret assessment data to support special education eligibility and educational planning.
• Develop and communicate clear, comprehensive evaluation reports and recommendations.
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, families, and related service providers to support student achievement and well-being.
• Provide consultation regarding behavioral, social-emotional, and academic interventions.
• Assist in the development and implementation of positive behavioral supports and intervention plans.
• Support building-wide initiatives that promote positive school climate, mental health, and student wellness.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with federal and New York State regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Special Education or Building Principal.

Qualifications

• New York State Certification as a School Psychologist is required.
• Strong knowledge of Psychoeducational assessment, special education regulations, and evidence-based interventions.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with students, families, faculty, and support staff.
• Experience working in an elementary school setting is preferred but not required.
