Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Full Cycle Bookkeeper. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated knowledge and ability in the accounting cycle, including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, bank reconciliations, and general ledger, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Full Cycle Accounts Payable (AP): Process vendor invoices, match purchase orders, code expenses, and execute weekly check runs or ACH payments.
- Full Cycle Accounts Receivable (AR): Create and send customer invoices, process payments, and manage collections.
- General Ledger & Journal Entries: Record daily financial transactions.
- Bank Reconciliation: Reconcile bank and credit card statements monthly to ensure accuracy in financial reporting.
- Payroll Processing: Manage end-to-end payroll (weekly/bi-weekly) for employees, including managing deductions, tax compliance, and timesheets.
- Month-End/Year-End Close: Assist in the closing process.
- Cash Flow Management: Monitor cash flow to ensure sufficient funds for operational needs.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a full-charge bookkeeping role.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration preferred; Associate degree with relevant experience acceptable.
- Software Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of QuickBooks (Online or Desktop) and Microsoft Excel.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Skills: Exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational abilities, and ability to work independently to meet strict deadlines.
- Certification: Certified Bookkeeper (CB) designation from AIPB is a plus.
