Insurance Verification Specialist
Our client located in the Spring area is looking for an Insurance Verification Specialist to join thier team. Needing someone to come in with strong experience initializing pre-authorizations, setting up peer to peers, working through denials, and discussing out-of-pockets. This is a contract to hire position hiring immediately
Job Summary:
- ?Verify insurance
- ?Calculate out-of-pockets
- ?Send emails to patients
- ?Initialize pre-authorizations
- ?Work through denials
- ?Set up Peer to Peers
- ?Call patients to go over out-of-pockets as necessary
- ?Open and upload insurance mail into attachments
- ?Courteous and easy to work with
- ?Cross train as needed to help staff
- ?Work in our EMR software
- ?Call and work with insurance companies
- ?Basic knowledge of how insurance works
- ?Work through Availity, etc., as needed
- ?Calculate and send self-pay quotes
Requirements:
- Preferably 3-5 years as an Insurance Verification Specialist
- No education level required.
- Highly recommend someone with EMR experience, but open to paper charts experience.
- Prior experience working with Insurance companies.
