Project-Based HR Compliance Specialist (Hybrid)
Location: Hybrid (3 days onsite / 2 days remote) - Deer Park or West Loop office
Pay Rate: $30-$40/hour (all-inclusive)
About the Role
Seeking a Project-Based HR Compliance Specialist to support policy updates, HR audits, regulatory monitoring, recordkeeping, and compliance training coordination. This role helps ensure consistent, compliant HR practices across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Support HR policy and handbook updates, including CA 2026 requirements
Assist with HR and contractor audits and follow-up action plans
Monitor and communicate employment law changes
Maintain accurate employee records (including I-9s)
Coordinate compliance and manager trainings with L&D
Partner with legal, payroll, operations, and other teams
Assist with compliance reporting, analysis, and internal investigations
Qualifications
Strong knowledge of employment laws (TX, LA, CA, Calgary preferred)
Proficiency in MS Office
Strong analytical and communication skills
High attention to detail; ability to handle confidential information
Experience in HR, compliance, or a related field required
Hybrid Schedule: 3 days onsite, 2 remote (West Loop desk availability may vary)
