Customs Broker Manager
A well-established logistics organization is seeking an experienced Customs Brokerage Manager to lead its customs operations team. This position plays a critical role in ensuring compliance, accuracy, and efficiency in all U.S. import activities, with oversight of both operational and administrative functions.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage the customs brokerage department, fostering a high-performance culture.
Oversee the accurate and timely processing of Importer Security Filings (ISF) and customs entries.
Ensure all shipment data?including release, billing, classification, and valuation?is accurate and compliant with U.S. customs regulations.
Coordinate shipment releases and arrange transportation or warehousing as needed.
Handle entries for vehicles and personal goods imported via air and ocean.
Generate and review daily reports on release and classification activities.
Maintain accurate shipment records within internal systems.
Utilize CargoWise for both operational and financial tasks.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify risks, resolve issues, and implement process improvements.
Qualifications
Comprehensive knowledge of U.S. customs laws, regulations, and industry best practices.
Proven leadership experience in a customs brokerage or related environment.
Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively across departments.
Proficiency in CargoWise software preferred.
