Burnett Medical Center is looking for a Lifetime Enrichment Assistant to assist with group activities in our nursing home.
SHIFT: 44 hours per pay period (0.55 FTE); Days/Evenings, includes every other weekend
RESPONSIBILITIES: Assists the Activities/Life Enrichment Coordinator with group activities to help provide opportunities to meet the social, cultural, spiritual, emotional and therapeutic recreational needs and interests of the residents. Visits with residents on a one-to-one basis. Participates in the completion of charting and maintenance of attendance records. Will drive the CCC Van at times.
This position would be benefit eligible and include employer-paid life insurance, employer-paid short-term disability, and health, dental, vision insurance. It would also include up to a 3% match in our 401k retirement plan.
Requirements:QUALIFICATIONS
- High school graduate or GED equivalent with experience in a recreation setting preferred.
- Formal training in a Lifetime Enrichment Leadership training program preferred.
- Must have a basic understanding of the needs of elderly and have an empathetic approach to persons living in a long-term care setting.
- Understands the needs of persons who are either ill or limited in some way.
- Have a willingness to, and aptitude for, working with a variety of people.
- Have a basic knowledge of a variety of activities; must exhibit the ability to give instructions to others and to lead.
- Exhibits a spirit of cooperation; pleasant and friendly personality.
- Prior experience working in a long term care facility preferred.
- Must have a current driver's license and pass a medical exam for DOT.
