Edmunds Middle School and Burlington High School are looking for a passionate Speech Language Pathologist- Assistant (SLP-A) to join Burlington School District commited to high levels of acheivement for all students. This position is 1/2 time at Edmunds Elementary and 1/2 time at Burlington High School!

SCOPE OF WORK:
Assisting SLPs with planning and providing speech-language pathology services to students with speech, voice, or language disorders. Additionally, assessing students and providing therapeutic intervention to eliminate or reduce problems or impairments that interfere with students' ability to derive full benefit from the educational program. Implement speech and language programs or activities as planned and directed by speech-language pathologists. Monitor the use of alternative communication devices and systems. To facilitate and supplement the educational process under the direction of a professional staff member. Responsibilities include communication facilitation, hearing aid management, carrying out programs designed by the SLP, managing behavior, teaching self-regulation skills, and supporting & facilitating social engagement with peers. Physical responsibilities include lifting, carrying, personal care, and the ability to assess a situation and respond quickly.
