Burlington School District is seeking Early Childhood Special Educators to provide supports in an inclusive summer pre-school environment for young children ages 3-6. ECSEs will provide services in the classroom, in small groups and individually as assigned.
Job Requirements:
- Licensed or eligible for Vermont Educators License.
- Licensed in Early Childhood Education / Special Education
- Eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Required Qualifications:
- Experience in closely working with, providing direct instruction to, and case-managing special education students.
- Experience in supporting children with cognitive, language, ASD, adaptive, behavior and social emotional needs.
- Ability to commit to work all 3 program weeks, July 7th - July 24th
- Experience working in a pre-school classroom.
- Ability to train and supervise para-educators
- Experience in working with ELL students who have language development needs desirable
- Knowledge of best practices in engaging and motivating students and managing student behaviors.
- Previous experience in Extended School Year programming is preferred
Program Dates: Jul 6, 2026- Jul 24, 2026 (3 weeks)
