Theatre Workshop Director, Burlington Educational Summer Theater
Description:
- Choose music and scenes that are appropriate for the students
- Oversee musical and acting aspects
- Collaborate with the choreographer, counselors and other staff members
- Conduct rehearsals, including warm-ups and teaching music to cast.
- Ensure that there is adequate supervision of the students
- promote an environment based on working as an ensemble, taking creative risks, and having fun.
- Accompany rehearsals on the piano
- Produce a 30 minute workshop performance
- For students in grades 1-5
- Production period: July 6 - July 17, 8:30 - 1:30
- Performances on each Friday
- Planning meetings before and after
Requirements: Ability to play basic piano.
Must have stamina to teach a large group of kids for 5 hours per day
Locations: Burlington High School, Burlington MA
Compensation: $2400
