Responsibilities:
- Wrap and package meat products according to established guidelines and standards
- Ensure that all products are properly labeled with accurate information
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the meat department
- Assist customers with their inquiries and provide exceptional customer service
- Monitor inventory levels and notify management when supplies need to be replenished
- Follow all food safety and sanitation procedures to ensure product quality and safety
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of tasks
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of food handling and safety practices
- Excellent sales skills to assist customers in making informed decisions
- Culinary background or experience in food preparation is a plus but not required
- Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Basic math skills for weighing and pricing products accurately
- Attention to detail to ensure accurate packaging and labeling of products
- Ability to lift 50 pounds as needed
- Ability to work in cold temperatures
- Ability to work well in a team-oriented setting
