```Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and passionate person to join the team in our Bakery department. As a packager/Finisher, you will play a crucial role in the bakery, ensuring food safety and delivering high-quality products to our customers. This Team member will be packaging all products sold in our bakery. The ideal candidate will possess strong attention to detail, and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.
Duties:
- Packages all baked goods by slicing, icing, wrapping, bagging and boxing to meet the product quality standards specified by Burkholder's Market.
- Demonstrates proper techniques in all phases of operation including cooling, wrapping, storing, slicing, displaying and rotating products.
- Knows and applies the inspection criteria indicating a finished product in up to Burkholder's standards.
- Operates the following pieces of equipment correctly and safely - bread slicer, shrink-wrap machine and label scales.
- Ensure food safety standards are followed at all times during the preparation and handling of ingredients.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the bakery, including equipment and workstations.
- follow established recipes, portioning and packaging sizes to maintain consistency in product quality.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a similar role within the food industry or culinary field is helpful but not required.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality standards.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Ability to multi-task and cope with stress, showing self-control during times of excitement.
- Must be at least 18 years of age and the have the ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
- Ability to work in extreme temperatures of hot and cold
- Perform other duties and requested or required.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $11.00 - $15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15 – 40 per week
