Burke, Williams & Sorensen is a full-service law firm with deep expertise in public law and municipal representation, advising cities, counties, special districts, and other public agencies throughout California. We are seeking an associate with a minimum of 2 – 4 years of experience to join our expanding Public Law team.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

• Experience with public agency or municipal law
• Excellent writing, research, drafting, and analytical skills
• Strong work ethic, self-starter, and team-oriented mindset
• Ability to manage matters independently and interface directly with public officials and staff
• Admission to the State Bar of California
  
  

The Associate Will Be Expected To

• Review and draft agreements, including public agency and municipal contracts
• Conduct legal research and prepare legal memoranda
• Assist with matters involving public contracting, procurement, and regulatory compliance
• Support attorneys with transactional and advisory matters for public agency clients
• Communicate effectively with clients, public officials, and colleagues as needed
  
  

The anticipated base salary range for this full-time role is $150,000 – $175,000 plus annual performance-based bonuses. The actual salary within that range will depend on the selected candidate’s years of practice and experience. We encourage all interested candidates to apply.
