What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Executive Housekeeper position at Burke Mountain Resort?
SUMMARY The Asst. Executive Housekeeper assists in overseeing the housekeeping department in accordance with the housekeeping program to ensure clean, orderly and attractive conditions of all buildings of Burke Mountain Resort.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES (include the following, other duties may be assigned)
- Cleans rooms and public areas at times of low occupancy
- Promote positive teamwork and morale amongst the department, leading by example & provide coaching / effective corrective counseling when needed.
- Must possess high energy, professionalism and confidence every day with an accelerated ability to multitask, organize and meet the high volume needs of the department.
- Assisting with customer complaints and comments; addressing housekeeping issues troubleshooting solutions.
- Ensure emergency procedures are understood by all through ongoing education/awareness and documentation, ensure staff are properly uniformed, & have been properly trained to carry out their job duties.
- Maintain effective, open & professional communication with housekeeping/janitorial staff, internal departments and external guests.
- Promote positive teamwork and morale amongst the department & providing coaching /effective corrective counseling when needed.
- Interview and hire housekeepers for the Hotel and Base Operations.
- Assist in processing payroll for the department, ensuring staffing levels are adequate in maintaining budget & work function expectations.
- Other duties as assigned, which could be related, or unrelated to original position.
