Duties

• Operate commercial dishwashing equipment to thoroughly clean dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen tools following food safety sanitizing procedures.
• Assist with food preparation tasks such as chopping, peeling, portioning ingredients, and organizing supplies to support kitchen staff.
• Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen areas by sweeping, mopping, sanitizing surfaces, and disposing of waste properly to uphold sanitation standards.
• Buss tables and clear dining areas efficiently during service to ensure a clean environment for guests.
• Handle manual tasks including lifting heavy pots, boxes of supplies, and cleaning equipment safely according to health and safety standards.
• Support food handling processes by organizing ingredients and ensuring proper storage in line with food safety management protocols.
• Operate basic kitchen equipment such as slicers or mixers when trained, always adhering to safety guidelines.

Experience

• Previous food service experience or restaurant background is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is key!
• Familiarity with food safety sanitizing procedures and sanitation standards in a commercial kitchen environment.
• Experience with dishwashing or kitchen cleaning tasks demonstrates strong attention to hygiene practices.
• Knowledge of basic knife skills and food handling techniques is advantageous for supporting food prep activities.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work efficiently in a fast-paced hospitality setting.
• Prior banquet or catering experience is a plus but not essential; enthusiasm for supporting diverse culinary operations is valued.
• Strong understanding of kitchen health and safety standards ensures compliance with all regulations.

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
