What You’ll Do
- As part of the project team, complete design tasks for highway, roadway, streets, traffic & safety, pedestrian or bike trail projects for DOT and local agencies
- Developing unique and complex solutions to highway/traffic problems for projects and pursuits
- Prepare specifications, cost estimates, and reports for a variety of rural and urban projects from low volume roadways to major freeways and complex interchanges
- Create an exemplary client experience throughout project delivery
- Maintain quality control of the work products and successfully complete projects on time and within budget
- Collaborate with engineers and leaders across the firm on project pursuits and technical challenges
- Provide training, coaching, and mentoring for developing staff
- Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering or related field from an ABET-accredited program required
- Professional Engineer (PE) registration in the state of employment, or ability to be registered with reciprocity
- 4 – 10 years of related transportation design experience for state and municipal transportation clients
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, MicroStation and/or AutoCAD
- Adaptable and self-motivated with an entrepreneurial mindset as well as a proactive approach to problem solving
