B&N Survey Technician Responsibilities
- Perform field survey work alone or as part of a team under the direction of a Professional Surveyor
- Operate and maintain GPS and digital survey equipment and software
- Prepare field notes and sketches
- Read and interpret road, bridge, and/or utility plans, deeds and survey plats
- Perform deed and records research
- Submit utility locate requests
- Communication with team members and design staff
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of four (4) years of surveying experience collecting topographic survey data for INDOT and utility projects and staking right-of-way and easements
- Experience with MS Outlook, Word and Excel
- Strong communication and organization skills
- Valid driver's license with a good driving record
- Ability to work outdoors in all types of weather
- Ability to travel within the region as required
- Ability to work overtime as required
