Burgess & Niple is looking for a Water/Wastewater Senior PM & Business Development Leader to join our team in Jacksonville. The ideal candidate will have the passion to build a water business in Jacksonville. Candidates should have strong existing client relationships and a vision to increase the size of their network. Responsibilities will vary in relative volume, and change over time, but will generally include:

Burgess & Niple is looking for a Water/Wastewater Senior PM & Business Development Leader to join our team in Jacksonville. The ideal candidate will have the passion to build a water business in Jacksonville. Candidates should have strong existing client relationships and a vision to increase the size of their network. Responsibilities will vary in relative volume, and change over time, but will generally include:
- Serve as client manager, senior project manager and/or technical subject matter expert for municipal water/wastewater clients in the Jacksonville region
- Lead business development activities including direct client interaction and engagement. Work with B&N’s Florida water/wastewater and marketing teams to develop a plan for expanding our client base and winning new work in the Jacksonville region.
- Actively lead and participate in project pursuit and delivery to create an exemplary client experience.
- Hire, train, coach, and mentor mid-level and junior design staff in developing and delivering projects. In the short term, this position will be supported by other B&N water/wastewater offices with a long-term goal of developing a local team to serve area clients.
- Oversee the delivery of the projects while focused on risk management, budget, schedule, and profitability
- Bachelor’s degree from an ABET accredited Civil, Environmental, or Water Resources Engineering, or equivalent engineering program
- Professional Engineer (PE) registration in the State of Florida; or ability to register through reciprocity
- 10 years of related water wastewater experience
- Strong client management and project management skills
- Strong interpersonal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Bluebeam/Adobe Pro
- Experience with Design-Build project delivery method a plus
- Experience with design delivery using the Revit platform a plus
