Qualifications:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-14 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:- Experience utilizing knowledge of appropriations law, financial policies, and regulatory guidance (e.g., DoD FMR), as well as experience tracking and managing funds across multiple lines of accounting.
- Experience analyzing financial data, developing spending plans, and providing recommendations to leadership to ensure effective and efficient use of resources is essential.
- Experience assisting in budget execution, monitoring obligations and expenditures, reconciling financial discrepancies, and preparing financial reports.
- Experience supporting mid-year and year-end close-out processes, as well as working with stakeholders to resolve funding issues, is critical preparation for this role.
- Experience with Department of Defense (DoD) or Department of the Navy (DoN) financial systems, including Navy ERP, is highly desirable.
