- Duties will be developmental in nature when filled below the full performance level.
- Compile, develop, and maintain geospatial datasets supporting land and natural resource programs.
- Enter, edit, and validate geospatial data following established standards.Perform basic spatial analyses to support planning, compliance, and operational needs.
- Provide maps and analytical products to specialists and managers.

- Produce maps, figures, and visual materials adhering to cartographic and BLM standards.
- Review mapping outputs for accuracy, consistency, and clarity.
- Assist staff with geospatial software use, data requests, and troubleshooting.

- Analyzing problems to identify significant factors, gather relevant geographic data, and determine practical solutions to support GIS project needs.
- Assisting senior Geographic Information System Specialists by performing data entry, digitizing spatial features, and conducting basic geoprocessing tasks following established procedures.
- Compiling, organizing, and maintaining geographic and attribute data from multiple sources, ensuring accuracy and consistency within GIS databases.
- Communicating information clearly and effectively with a variety of audiences to present GIS concepts, data findings, and project updates in an easy-to-understand manner.
