ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Keep abreast of incoming inventory, features, accessories, etc., etc., and how they benefit customers
• Deliver vehicles to customers. The delivery process ensures that the customer understands the vehicle’s operating features, warranty, and paperwork, and it lays the foundation for customer loyalty
• Understand the terminology of the automobile business and keep abreast of technological changes in the product
• Know and understand equity and values, and be able to explain depreciation to the customer
• Know and understand the federal, state, and local laws which govern retail auto sales
• Acquire product knowledge to ensure a complete presentation of the vehicles for sale
• Use dealership sales techniques
• Prospect using dealership records and cold calling techniques to provide adequate sales opportunities and meet objectives
• Become skilled at dealing with people in sales situations
• Adhere to dealer policies regarding prospecting, product presentation, counseling, demonstration drive, closing, F&I, delivery, and follow-up
• Other duties assigned
