District Office Administrator
Performance and Responsibilities:
- Provide instructional leadership in developing an educational program of high student achievement in accordance with district philosophy, policies, objectives and State laws ensuring a safe, efficient and effective learning environment for students.
- Improve instruction through the planning, operation, and evaluation of the educational program.
- Oversee curricular development and implementation for grades Pre-K-8 and ensure sequential learning experiences for students that meet and exceed the State Core Curriculum Content Standards.
- Oversee the implementation of State and local assessments.
- Collect and analyze data to inform best practices and develop systemic responses to improve academic and social growth for all students.
- Provide support to administrators and instructional coaches to provide job-embedded professional development that has the greatest probability to support teachers with best instructional practices.
- Recruit, interview, and assist with onboarding new employees across the district.
- Assist with developing and maintaining procedures and protocols for personnel in accordance with board policies, collective bargaining agreements, and State and Federal laws.
- Investigate and resolve employee grievances, complaints, and disciplinary matters while ensuring compliance with labor laws and maintaining positive labor relations.
- Assist school leadership with evaluating teacher performance on a timely basis including documenting observations, informal feedback and utilizing the formalized performance management system.
- Monitor and maintain department budget while ensuring proper accounting of funds and fiscal responsibility of all resources.
- Assist with the management and evaluation of State, Federal, and competitive grants as assigned.
- Assist in communicating information on curricular programs, services, and regulations to parents, Board, staff, and other districts for the purpose of shared understanding.
- Attend all regularly scheduled meetings of the Board and such staff meetings and committees as required by the Superintendent.
- Assist in strategic planning with all stakeholders to support district vision and goals, which may include developing and delivering staff professional development.
- Maintain accurate, complete, and correct records as required by law, district policy, administrative guidelines, or specific program requirements.
- Ensure compliance with all laws, administrative codes, Board policies and regulations, including Affirmative Action mandates.
- Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, displaying the highest ethical and professional behavior and standards when working with students, parents, school personnel, and agencies associated with the school
- Adhere to all district and building health and safety policies.
- Perform duties as assigned by the Superintendent or his/her designee.
Qualifications:
- Advanced Degree and Professional Educator Licensure
- Minimum five years successful teaching
- Administrative experience at the elementary/junior high level preferred
- Knowledge of theories, methods, techniques and strategies pertaining to teaching and instruction
- Knowledge of behavior management strategies, techniques & methods and conflict resolution procedures
- Proficiency in data collection, analysis and evaluation
- A results-oriented individual, with high integrity, that can work collaboratively with administrators and teachers to maintain the efficient operation of the district.
