Production Worker

PRODUCTION WORKER NEEDED

1st shift

Pay $17.00-19.00 per hour based on experience, education and geographic location.

Shift Monday-Friday 7am-3:45pm

Bunzl Safety Los Angeles is currently seeking a Production Worker responsible for executing various value-added services tasks for five Bunzl companies that are all located in the City of Industry building. The Production Worker performs all tasks involved in the production of the company’s products while following standard work methods and practicing safe work habits to ensure production is as efficient and safe as possible.

Responsibilities:

• Perform all value-added services tasks but not limited to Screen-Printing, Pad-Printing, Tagging, Vend-Packing, Packing, Re-Packing, Re-work, Assembly, and Kitting.
• Operate automatic screen-printing, pad printing, and/or heat stamp machine presses including set-up, printing & tear down of jobs with attention to detail, quality of print, accuracy and speed
• Identify, troubleshoot, and notify management of any common screen-printing, pad printing, or other value-added services maintenance problems
• Clean equipment including removing ink from screens, squeegees, press & tools
• Always maintain a neat and orderly immediate work area as well as assigned housekeeping areas
• Read and complete work orders and documentation accurately
• Supporting efforts that make the operation run better by incrementally making improvements

Requirements:

• High School/GED education preferred
• Ability to read, write and comprehend complex written or oral instructions and correspondence in English
• Ability to perform common mathematical skills such as multiplying in dozens or
  calculating print rates
• Understand color mixing principles to match customer logo specification colors
• Experience mixing up to 4 colors preferred
• Must be able to lift and /or move up to 50 lbs at times with or without reasonable accommodations
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time while reaching with hands and arms for an entire shift
