What are the responsibilities and job description for the Construction Laborer position at Bunting and Murray Construction?
Join our construction team as a Construction Laborer. The laborer will perform tasks involving physical labor at highway, building, and heavy construction projects. May operate hand power tools.
Duties
- Perform a variety of tasks involving strenuous manual labor in heavy/highway construction projects; perform manual work in preparing surfaces for paving.
- Shovel bituminous concrete (asphalt) into construction area.
- Assist in patching asphalt with hot and cold mix.
- Clean and prepare sites, dig trenches, set braces to support the sides of excavations, clean up rubble and debris, and remove asbestos, lead, and other hazardous waste materials.
- Material handling and storage.
- Willingly attend and support Foremen/Superintendents during morning huddles and toolbox talks.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education & Experience
High School graduate which may be substituted with specific work-related experience.
- Preferred Background: Road Construction, Construction
