Responsibilities
- Assist with the installation, repair, and maintenance of marine structures such as docks, piers, bulkheads, and seawalls.
- Operate heavy machinery including excavator, skid steer, large pick up trucks, trailers, boats and barges to move materials and prepare sites.
- Conduct utility locating to ensure safe excavation around underground utilities in marine environments.
- Use hand tools and power tools for various construction tasks while adhering to safety protocols.
- Perform heavy lifting and manual handling of materials such as concrete, steel, timber, and debris.
- Follow all safety procedures in accordance with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and site-specific safety protocols
- Assist with site cleanup, equipment maintenance, and preparation for daily operations.
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction environments with a focus on marine infrastructure projects.
- Valid and current drivers license
- Mechanical knowledge related to construction machinery and power tools
- Strong physical stamina with the ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks regularly.
- Outdoor work experience in varying weather conditions is essential.
- You must have a strong work ethic and be punctual.
- Excellent teamwork skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving on-site.
- Must have reliable transportation.
