Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of grilled items, including meats, vegetables, and seafood, according to established recipes and presentation standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the grill station and surrounding kitchen areas.
- Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure safe food handling practices.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
- Monitor inventory levels of grill supplies and ingredients, reporting any shortages to the kitchen manager.
- Assist in training new kitchen staff on grilling techniques and safety protocols.
- Participate in menu planning by providing input on seasonal ingredients and dish ideas.
Experience
- Previous experience as a cook is required
- Familiarity with catering is a plus
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper food handling techniques is essential.
- Proficiency in using kitchen equipment, including grills, knives, and other cooking tools.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to work efficiently under pressure in a busy kitchen setting.
