Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of pizzas and menu items according to established recipes and standards
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, mixers, slicers, and other appliances
- Maintain strict adherence to food safety protocols and sanitizing procedures to ensure a clean and safe working environment
- Assist with menu planning by suggesting new pizza toppings or dishes that align with customer preferences and seasonal ingredients
- Handle food preparation tasks such as chopping, slicing, braising, poaching, grilling, and food handling with precision and care
- Support high-volume production needs during busy hours while maintaining quality control
- Follow recipe adherence meticulously to ensure consistency across all dishes prepared
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant kitchens, or catering environments is highly preferred
- Strong knife skills and proficiency in various cooking techniques including grilling, braising, poaching, and food production
- Knowledge of food safety management practices and sanitizing procedures within a commercial kitchen setting
- Experience with menu planning and meal preparation for diverse dietary needs or special diets (e.g., dietary aide experience)
- Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with high-volume food production environments and fine dining standards is a plus
- Excellent food handling skills combined with a passion for culinary excellence and recipe adherence
