Duties
- Prepare and cook a variety of pizzas, ensuring adherence to established recipes and presentation standards
- Handle food preparation tasks such as chopping, slicing, and portioning ingredients efficiently
- Operate kitchen equipment including ovens, mixers, fryers, and flat top and other essential tools safely and effectively
- Maintain strict food safety sanitizing procedures to ensure a clean and hygienic workspace
- Monitor cooking times and temperatures to guarantee optimal quality and consistency
- Support high-volume production during peak hours by managing multiple orders simultaneously
- Ensure proper food handling practices are followed at all times, including allergen awareness and dietary accommodations
- Collaborate with team members to deliver excellent food service experiences in a timely manner
Experience
- Previous experience in food preparation or as a cook in a fast-paced restaurant environment is highly preferred
- Demonstrated skills in pizza making, including dough handling, topping application, and baking techniques
- Familiarity with food safety management protocols and sanitizing procedures in commercial kitchens
- Experience with culinary techniques such as grilling, and food production processes
- Knowledge of dietary department standards or dietary aide experience is a plus
- Strong knife skills and proficiency operating various kitchen equipment required for efficient meal prep
- Proven ability to work under pressure during high-volume periods while maintaining quality standards
