Duties
- Prepare ingredients by washing, chopping, slicing, and measuring food items according to recipes and menu specifications.
- Assist in menu planning and ensure that all necessary ingredients are available for daily operations.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper food storage practices.
- Adhere to food safety regulations and guidelines to ensure the health and safety of all guests.
- Support the cooking staff during service by providing timely assistance with meal preparation and plating.
- Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and report any shortages or needs to management.
- Collaborate with team members to maintain an efficient workflow in the kitchen environment.
Experience
- Previous experience as a cook or in a similar role within the food service or restaurant industry is preferred.
- Familiarity with dietary aide responsibilities and menu planning is a plus.
- Knowledge of food handling techniques and food safety standards is essential.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality standards in meal preparation.
