What are the responsibilities and job description for the Early Childhood Teacher position at Bumble Bee Child Care Center?
Bumble Bee Child Care Center & Pre K Inc. is now hiring caring and nurturing early childhood education teachers that understand the value of play-based curriculum. Candidates must meet DCFS requirements to be teacher-qualified (60 semester hours of college with 6 related to ECE, OR 30 semester hours of college with 6 related to ECE and 1 year of experience at an early childhood program, OR a CDA.
Preschool teacher / childcare teacher responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Developing lesson plans.
- Meeting the individual needs of the children.
- Parent communication.
- Participation in staff and training meetings.
- Designing an appropriate room arrangement to support the goals and developmental level of the children in the classroom.
- Interacting with the children to support play, exploration, and learning.
- Presenting expectations that are appropriate to the child's age and developmental level.
- Planning and implementing activities that develop self-esteem and social skills.
- Communicating appropriately and professionally with parents and fellow staff.
- Building teamwork.
Pay Scale:
- Teacher qualified, no credentials is 18.25, pay increase depends on Gateways credentials, max pay for teachers is $21.25
