We are partnering with a growing, opportunistic real estate investment firm seeking a Vice President of Acquisitions to lead deal sourcing and execution across the Sunbelt, with a focus on Texas.
This is a senior, hands-on role for an acquisitions professional who thrives in a lean, entrepreneurial environment and has a proven ability to source off-market transactions. The firm is well capitalized by institutional and private equity investors and offers meaningful long-term upside through equity participation.
The Role
The VP of Acquisitions will be responsible for originating, underwriting, and executing off-market, value-add investments, primarily within industrial and retail asset classes. This individual will play a critical role in deploying capital and expanding the firm’s Texas footprint.
Key Responsibilities
• Source and execute off-market acquisitions across Texas
• Maintain and leverage strong broker and owner relationships
• Lead transactions from sourcing through LOI, underwriting, structuring, and closing
• Evaluate value-add and development-oriented opportunities
• Collaborate with asset management and internal teams on business plans
• Structure deals creatively on both the debt and equity side
• Manage a small acquisitions team
Ideal Background
• 15 years of real estate acquisitions experience (10 considered for exceptional candidates)
• Proven track record of sourcing off-market deals (on-market-only experience will not be a fit)
• Experience in industrial and/or retail real estate
• Deep knowledge of the Texas market
• Background in entrepreneurial or mid-sized investment platforms
• Execution-focused, low-ego, hardworking mentality

Work Environment
• In-office role based in Austin, TX (5 days per week)
• Travel as needed, typically monthly or quarterly
