The Role
Bullock Legal Group, a national leader in complex mass tort and product liability litigation, is seeking an experienced and highly organized Litigation Manager to join our team.
This is a critical leadership and operational role, serving as the link between high-level legal strategy and flawless administrative execution across a large portfolio of complex cases. You will be responsible for ensuring all cases move efficiently, meet jurisdictional requirements, and adhere to strict procedural deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
The Litigation Manager will take ownership of the following core areas:
Strategic Operations & Case Management
- Deadline Oversight: Develop, maintain, and enforce comprehensive litigation timelines and tracking systems to ensure critical procedural deadlines (SOL, discovery cutoffs, trial dates) are consistently met across the entire portfolio.
- Workflow Design: Design, implement, and continuously refine standardized, scalable workflow procedures for client intake, discovery production, and trial preparation to maximize team efficiency and data integrity.
- E-Filing Compliance: Coordinate and manage case filing procedures, including e-filing across various state and federal jurisdictions, ensuring strict compliance with local rules.
Team Leadership & E-Discovery
- Staff Management: Lead, mentor, and supervise a dedicated team of paralegals and legal assistants, fostering a high-performance, detail-oriented culture.
- Discovery Mastery: Direct the entire e-discovery lifecycle, including the collection, organization, indexing, and production of electronic and physical discovery, with mandatory use of document review platforms (e.g., Relativity, Casepoint).
- Vendor Coordination: Manage relationships and contracts with all external vendors, including e-discovery providers, court reporters, and expert witnesses, to ensure timely and cost-effective services.
Financial and Administrative Oversight
- Cost Control: Collaborate closely with the firm's Controller to monitor litigation expenses, control costs, and track budget adherence for expert fees and vendor services.
- Reporting: Provide detailed, regular status reports and key performance indicators (KPIs) to the Managing Partner and COO regarding case volumes, department efficiency, and risk management exposure.
Qualifications Required Experience
- Bachelor's Degree required (J.D. or Paralegal certification a plus).
- 5 years of progressive experience managing complex litigation, mass tort, or multi-district litigation (MDL) cases.
- 3 years of direct supervisory or team leadership experience.
Skills and Technology
- Expert knowledge of the full litigation lifecycle, from intake through trial preparation.
- Advanced proficiency in legal technology and case management software (e.g., Clio, MyCase, etc.).
- Proven hands-on experience utilizing document review platforms (e.g., Relativity, Casepoint, or similar).
- Exceptional ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and maintain acute attention to detail.
