Role Description The Teacher will plan and deliver daily instruction aligned with curriculum standards, using engaging and differentiated teaching strategies to support diverse learners. Responsibilities include preparing lesson plans and instructional materials, assessing student progress, maintaining accurate records, and providing timely feedback to students and caregivers. The Teacher will manage classroom routines, promote a positive and respectful learning environment, and support students’ social and emotional development. Additional duties include collaborating with colleagues, participating in meetings and professional learning, and adhering to school and district policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated ability to design and deliver clear, standards-based lessons that engage students with varied learning needs.
- Experience using formative and summative assessments to monitor progress, inform instruction, and communicate results to students and caregivers.
- Strong classroom management skills, including the ability to establish routines, set expectations, and foster an inclusive, respectful classroom culture.
- Proficiency with educational technology, including learning management systems, productivity tools, and digital resources that support instruction.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to collaborate with colleagues, administrators, families, and support staff.
- Ability to adapt instruction for diverse learners, including multilingual learners and students with varying abilities, in line with individualized plans where applicable.
- Current or eligibility for appropriate state teaching certification or licensure for the relevant subject/grade level (or a clear plan to obtain it, if required).
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Education or a related field; relevant teaching or school-based experience is strongly preferred.
