Duties
- Safely operate tow trucks, including flatbed and other specialized models, to recover and transport vehicles from accident scenes, breakdowns, or parking areas
- Load and unload vehicles with precision using appropriate equipment such as forklifts or manual methods, ensuring damage-free handling
- Conduct basic automotive diagnostics to identify mechanical issues that may affect towing or vehicle safety
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating clearly with clients, explaining procedures, and addressing concerns professionally
- Manage conflict situations calmly and effectively, maintaining a positive experience for all parties involved
- Assist with automotive repair tasks when necessary, leveraging mechanical knowledge to perform minor repairs or assessments
- Maintain accurate logs of all towing activities, vehicle conditions, and safety inspections for record-keeping purposes
Qualifications
- Proven experience in driving tow trucks or commercial vehicles with a valid driver’s license; experience with manual transmissions is preferred
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to perform basic automotive diagnostics and repairs
- Familiarity with automotive repair procedures and tools, including flatbed operation and forklift certification is a plus
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to manage conflicts professionally and courteously
- Ability to load & unload vehicles efficiently while adhering to safety protocols
- Experience in conflict management, problem-solving, and working under pressure in roadside or transportation environments
- Knowledge of safety regulations related to commercial driving and vehicle recovery operations
