Traveling Journeyman / Master Electrician

Bull-Williams Contracting is seeking an experienced Journeyman or Master Electrician to support life-critical FAA electrical and infrastructure projects throughout the United States.

This is not routine residential work. Our crews install, maintain, test, and support electrical systems that help keep the National Airspace System operating safely and reliably. We are looking for dependable, technically capable electricians who take pride in quality workmanship, can read plans, work independently, and represent the company professionally on high-visibility federal projects.

This position is based in the Central Texas area and requires substantial nationwide travel. Project deployments may last several weeks at a time.

What You Will Do

· Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair commercial and industrial electrical systems.

· Read and interpret drawings, specifications, one-lines, panel schedules, and equipment manuals.

· Install conduit, wire, feeders, panels, grounding systems, disconnects, lighting, and related electrical equipment.

· Perform terminations, testing, labeling, documentation, and quality-control checks.

· Support work involving generators, automatic transfer switches, UPS systems, battery systems, critical power distribution, and facility infrastructure.

· Participate in planned shutdowns, cutovers, commissioning, and startup activities.

· Follow OSHA, NFPA 70E, company safety procedures, FAA site requirements, and customer quality standards.

· Travel nationwide for project assignments and work professionally with customers, inspectors, subcontractors, and fellow team members.

Required Qualifications

· Current Texas Journeyman Electrician license; Master Electrician license is strongly preferred.

· At least 5 years of commercial and/or industrial electrical experience following apprenticeship training.

· Proven ability to install conduit, pull wire, terminate conductors, read drawings, and troubleshoot electrical systems.

· Willingness and ability to travel nationwide for extended assignments, including deployments lasting several weeks.

· Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to the Central Texas office or designated project locations.

· Ability to pass required background checks, drug screening, badging, and customer-site requirements.

· Ability to safely perform field work involving ladders, lifts, material handling, outdoor conditions, and critical electrical environments.

Preferred Experience

· UPS systems, battery systems, generators, ATS equipment, switchgear, grounding/bonding, or critical-power distribution.

· Federal, FAA, airport, data-center, industrial, healthcare, or other mission-critical facility experience.

· Shutdown planning, electrical cutovers, commissioning, testing, and detailed quality documentation.

· Experience leading small crews or mentoring apprentices.

Compensation and Travel

Compensation is based on the applicable Davis-Bacon prevailing wage determination for the project location and assigned classification. Pay varies by assignment and can be exceptionally strong; certain project locations may pay more than $80 per hour, plus overtime where applicable.

Employees receive non-taxable per diem when applicable under company policy and federal guidelines.
